The Office of the 20th World Scout Jamboree
officially opened its door to the public on the 17th June. The
head is Mr. Wayu Bhayakan, a well known professional Scout. The
address is: Office of the 20th World Scout Jamboree, National
Stadium, Rama I Road, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. Tel (+662) 612
5306. Fax (+662) 219 2108. The above photograph shows Mrs. Wannapa
(her nickname is Pu). She is our contact in the Jamboree offices
and the best person for you to speak to. Her English is excellent
and she told us that if you have any questions about the Jamboree,
then do not hesitate to send her an e-mail
or drop in to say hello if you are in Bangkok.
The Scout Shop is on Rama I Road.
It is next door to the National Stadium (above left). You can
see the Scout shop from the road. The Sky Train station for the
National Stadium is literally on the doorstep of the office.
So, it will make it easier for you to visit.
There are a lot of souvenirs you
can buy in the Scout Shop. If you collect Scout badges then this
is obviously ther best place to go!
If you walk straight through the
Scout Shop and out the back you will come to an small access
road. Turn right here and head towards the stadium. On the corner
on the left you will find the Office for the Scout Jamboree.
